This August, we rolled out several exciting updates designed to enhance usability, improve flexibility, and give you greater control over your business operations. Let’s dive into what’s new!
SkipM8 Rebrand
We’ve undergone a complete rebrand! Our new look reflects our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. Curious about the changes? Learn more about our rebrand here.
New Dashboard Analytics
We’ve added a range of new analytics to your login dashboard to give you greater visibility into your operations at a glance. Now, when you log in, you can see:
How many skips are currently out with customers.
How many skips are overdue.
How many skips are heading out today.
How many skips are due to return today.
How many permits are expiring.
In addition to skip tracking, we’ve introduced financial insights directly to your dashboard:
Income vs Spending: Easily track how much you’ve been paid, how much you’re owed, and what you’ve spent—all updated for today.
Invoices: Quickly see how much you’ve been paid and what is still outstanding for the day.
Turnover: View a comprehensive breakdown of your turnover for the last 6 months to better understand your financial growth.
These new analytics ensure that you can manage your skips and financials more effectively, all in one place.
Pricing Enhancements
We’ve revamped our pricing features to give you more options and better customisation:
Flat Rate Pricing: What you previously knew as 'Pricing' has now been renamed to Flat Rate Pricing for clarity.
Tonnage Pricing: We’ve introduced Tonnage Pricing. Now, you can set prices per tonne with a minimum tonnage requirement. To add your first tonnage price, navigate to Skip Hire > Skips & Pricing > Select a skip.
Transport Pricing: With our new Transport Pricing feature, you can now set prices based on specific postcodes. Simply go to Skip Hire > Skips & Pricing > Select a skip to add your transport prices.
Settings Overhaul
We’ve made significant improvements to our settings for better accessibility and customisation:
Assignment Settings Relocation: Assignment settings have been moved to Business > Settings. Since these settings are used across all modules, placing them in a shared space makes them easier to manage.
New Grab Hire and Rubbish Clearance Settings: We’ve added new settings specifically for grab hire and rubbish clearance.
Disable Times Option: If you don’t use time tracking for skip hire, grab hire, or rubbish clearance, you can now disable this feature individually.
Driver Pricing Visibility Control: You can now disable pricing visibility for drivers, keeping sensitive pricing information private.
Auto-Share Job Notes: Set job notes to automatically share with drivers, streamlining communication.
Email Settings Upgrade
To improve communication and workflow, we’ve enhanced our email settings:
Expanded Email Support: SkipM8 emails now support grab hire and rubbish clearance jobs. Enable this feature under Business > Email Settings.
Automatic Invoice Emails: You can now set invoices to be automatically sent with each job email.
'Select All' and 'Unselect All' Options: Save time with our new bulk selection options, eliminating the need to tick settings one by one.
Automatic Emails for Grab Hire and Rubbish Clearance: We've added support so emails can automatically be sent for grab hire and rubbish clearance jobs.
New Online Booking Confirmation Email: Customers can now receive a confirmation email when they book a skip online. Head over to Business > Email Settings > and turn on the New Online Booking Confirmation.
Disposal Points in Jobs
We’ve made it easier to manage disposal points in your grab hire and rubbish clearance jobs:
Set Disposal Points: When creating grab hire or rubbish clearance jobs, you can now specify disposal points so drivers know exactly where to take the waste.
Edit Disposal Points: Need to make a change? You can now edit an assignment to update the disposal point.
Jobs & Assignments
We’ve added more flexibility and control to job and assignment management:
Assignment Notes for Drivers: You can now add notes for drivers directly when creating a new job, ensuring they have all the details they need.
Payment Removal: Need to remove a payment from an assignment? You can now do it yourself, without needing to submit a support request.
Other Noteworthy Updates
SIC Code Search: Finding the right SIC code is now easier with our improved autocomplete feature that allows you to type the code directly.
Updated Get Started Page: We’ve refreshed the Get Started page to include all these new features.
‘Select All’ for Delivery Postcodes: Simplify your skip delivery setup with the new ‘Select All’ option in Delivery Postcodes.
